WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO MAKE CHOCOLATE PEANUT BUTTER BARS
HOW TO MAKE CHOCOLATE PEANUT BUTTER BARS
1. Place the biscuits into a blender or a food processor and blend until crumbs form. Alternatively you can place the biscuits in a ziploc bag and crush them with a rolling pin. Pour out the crushed biscuits in to a bowl.
2. Add in the melted butter and peanut butter. Mix well until combined.
3. Grease a 9 × 9 inch/ 22 × 22 cm square pan and line with grease proof paper making sure it goes past the top of the baking pan. This will make it easier to remove the bars from the baking pan.
4. Spread the peanut butter mixture into the prepared baking pan and smooth the surface using a spoon.
5. Weigh the chocolate and 30 g peanut butter in a medium sized heat proof bowl. Microwave the mixture for 30 seconds at a time, stirring after each time until melted and smooth. Chocolate continues to melt once you take it out of the microwave. If you microwave the chocolate until it looks completely melted, you risk burning the chocolate.
Place the remaining 30 g in a smaller bowl and microwave until melted.
6. Spread the chocolate over the biscuit layer. Add teaspoons of melted peanut butter on top and use a toothpick or a bread knife to create swirls on the surface.
7. Refrigerate for 3 hours to set. Cut into bars and enjoy!
